1. The
name of the Society shall be Bialy Orzel
(Polish Association
White Eagle). 2. The
object of the Society is: (a) To give mutual assistance,
co-operation, promotion of the Polish culture, customs and traditions
and to foster the feelings of citizenship toward the country of
adoption (Canada), and to be non-political. (b)
To promote close ties between all the members of the
Society and their
families. (c) To assist, as far as means will
permit, both for the newly
arrived and members in matters of settlement in Victoria or Vancouver
Island, British Columbia, or search for
work. (d) To give material assistance to needy
members and their families. (e)
To do general acts of charity. (f)
To preserve the religious and national Polish traditions.

To foster cultural ties through lectures, films, concerts, and
especially organizing courses in the Polish language and Polish
history. (1) To maintain a high level of good and
healthy spirit among the members by providing festivals, dances,
excursions, and by fostering a spirit of true citizenship. 3. The
location of the Society shall be in Victoria, British Columbia. |
